Simply Made Banners and Thank You's

I am super far behind on sharing this one (so sorry) but have really been wanting to tell you ALL about it.

For Bub's birthday party I made homemade banners and thank you gifts.

For the banners I got inspiration from other great blogs I read.  Here are just a few of the pretty ones.

Back to my banner.

I bought ribbon from Michaels for $0.50 and used scrap book paper I had on hand.  Cheap-o beep-o!   And super easy since mine required no fabric or sewing.

Sorry for the lack of pictures of mine.  :(  I had taken more but they didn't turn out so well.  I still have it hung so I will give it another try...

I made thank you gifts for our guests too.  I decorated envelopes and enclosed Katie's 3rd birthday picture.  Remember the one done for us by my great friend, Paulina?

I bought pretty pink envelopes with white lining from Stationery Station in Highland Park.  Each cost $0.69.  Here I am making them up.

For the envelopes I made the decorative flowers from paper and glued them on.  I wrapped the envelope like a present with yarn from Michaels for $1.99.  I stamped "Thank You" in the corner with a stamp from Michaels' $1.00 bin.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy!

  1. So clever! The string gives it extra color and makes it feel more personal! Great idea! The stamp is a great feature too!

  2. love them! my daughter and I are working on a similar banner for her room - so much fun!
