Annual Apple Picking

Every year we make it out to go apple picking.  Especially while the Bub is young and really enjoys going.  This year she was so excited to go and still has not stopped talking about it.
The Mr. also makes us apple pies to enjoy.  He is planning on
trying out apple sauce too.  Yumm-y!
We've been going to All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock for years.  Back when we first started visiting all there was to do was to go to the apple orchard and a small petting zoo.

They really have expanded over the past couple years.  There is now a pumpkin patch, corn maze, kid activities and more.  This year was by far the funnest time we've had.

Back in the day we'd drive right up to the apple orchard.  Now the fun is to take a wagon ride through the farm to the orchard.  Bub had a blast and of course had to sit by her Auntie!

So many apples to pick.  We got a lot of good ones.  By far the fav of the group were the golden delicious.  So crisp and juicy!

Me and Bub having some mommy & daughter time.

And some time with Auntie.

Daddy and Bub got some play time in.

Bub actually braved the monster tube slide.

Jumping on the pillow.

Checking out the animals.

Fun was had by all!

Now we can't wait to eat up all our yumm-y apples and treats!
Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Prepped and Hung

OK.  So I am a little lot behind.
Well, first I was preppy.

I bought a couple windows from Kane County Flea Market.
Broke the glass out.
Sanded them down.
Re-painted.  De-stressed.  Antiqued.
Added on chicken wire.
Go ahead and check me out Being Preppy.
Now they're all hung in the dining room.

I LOVe the chippy look.  Not over done but gives a vintage feel.

Our windows are the perfect place for displaying favorite photos and the things we LOVe.

Best part is we can change those items out anytime we want!

Have a LOVely weekend!

Adventures at the Na-Da Farm Event

October 7th I adventured to the Na-Da Farm Event.  I heard lots of great things about the one held this past May and HAD to go check it out.

I was in LOVe from the moment I walked in.

Great booths and lots of beautiful things for sale.

Very inspiring!
Na-Da Farm Event is hosted by Anne Marie of na.da farm life and with the help of her family does one heck of a job.  I cannot tell you enough how incredible this event was!!!
Here we go.
Walking in with anticipation.

This shop belonged to Tattered Tiques who also has a shop in Lake Barrington.  Day trip maybe?

For more info check out their blog Tattered Tiques.

Heading our way into the jaw dropping, stunning, magical, LOVely barn.
Really there are not enough words to describe what I encountered.
I was in awe.

Isn't this vintage tea cup display LOVely???

Classes were offered throughout the event too.   We stood and watched this one in progress.  The scene was so peaceful and beautiful.

Bub found something she LOVed too...tutu's.

My new friend, Stacey @ A Sort of Fairytale had a booth at the farm.

She did an awesome job and the person who shared this event's info with me.

You have to check out her booth here Maggie Jane's Vintage.

I feel so lucky I had the chance to make it to the Na-Da Farm Event.
I cannot wait until the next one.
