For the Labor Day holiday weekend we headed up north to the Northwoods. Myself, the Mr. and the Bub braved it and made the 6 hour drive with 7 week old Annie. Crazy, huh? It really wasn't so bad. Better than expected actually.
First stop? The Waters waterpark resort in Minocqua, Wisconsin. When we arrived the parking lot was practically empty. The lobby only had one worker at the desk. The pool had one other family swimming and then after they left we were the only family enjoying the "waterpark" for the rest of the evening. It felt strange staying in a practically deserted waterpark hotel but it was kind of nice. We got to basically have it to ourselves and it was nice to go somewhere new.
Bub's favorite part of the trip was her first pony ride. She LOVed it! I was so sure she was going to chicken out (like she always does when doing something new) but she jumped right onto Ozzy and away she went. She seriously cannot stop talking about her pony ride!
Our second stop was the family farm in Prentice, Wisconsin. We hung out in the cabin, played in the great outdoors, went to the town parade and enjoyed the company of family.
