Upcycled Jewelry Boxes

A new favorite thing of mine to paint are jewelry boxes.  Already so pretty and even better after they've been upcycled.

This was a suggestion of my fabulous sister.  She had bought one for Annie as a sweet "welcome" gift.  Ever since she has been finding a bunch for us and we've been busy painting them up.

Tell us what you think about them!

This sweet heart piece has already sold too!  It went to a friend of mine and I know it will be taken care of very well!  I hope his wife LOVes it as much as I did.

It is painted in Annie Sloan's Paris Grey.  The real stuff this time!  Distressed and sealed
with a clear wax.

Another one all ready for a new home is this LOVely gal.

I cannot get over the details on this one.  The detailed legs.  The hardware.  The wood
showing through the paint.

She is painted in Annie Sloan's Louis blue.  I distressed and sealed it with clear and dark wax.  I LOVe using the dark wax but it does take time to know how to use it.  You use too much and the look can be way off.  Use it right and the piece ages perfectly.  The wood gets pronounced more.  It really can be perfection.

The Louis Blue box is available here

Hurry up and check her out.  She will go fast!
